The Concept

The concept was to deliver an elevated product education experience across two cities, combining learning with real-world testing.

Working in partnership with the Nike Ekin team, the clinics were designed to bring product knowledge to life for Nike store athletes and key account teams.

Taking place in London Battersea and the University of Edinburgh across 2 days, the focus was on building deeper understanding through hands-on sessions, movement and direct experience.

Across both locations, the programme centred on winterised running, with key styles including the Vomero 18 GORE-TEX and Vomero Premium.

Battersea

PRODUCT EXPERIMENTS

Ekin-led sessions focused on breaking down key product features across the Vomero Premium and Vomero 18 GORE-TEX, alongside winterised apparel. Attendees took part in structured product testing, including waterproof trials using controlled water exposure and targeted spray testing to demonstrate the GORE-TEX membrane in action. This allowed teams to clearly understand protection, durability and performance in wet conditions, while connecting material choices back to real use cases.

Group Run

The session then moved into a 5K run through Battersea Park, led by Nike trainer Oli. Attendees switched from the Vomero 18 GORE-TEX to the Vomero Premium at the midpoint, allowing for a direct comparison in real time. This helped reinforce differences in cushioning, comfort and ride during continuous movement.

EDINBURGH

Anti-gravity

The Edinburgh clinic placed a stronger focus on movement and performance testing, building on the product knowledge introduced earlier. Alongside Ekin-led sessions, attendees took part in anti-gravity treadmill trials, allowing them to explore running mechanics and product feel in a reduced-impact environment. This helped demonstrate how lowering bodyweight affects movement, while also highlighting the role of footwear in supporting recovery and controlled performance.

ATHLETE APPEARANCE

The experience also included an athlete talk from Jodie McCann, who shared her personal approach to training, racing and recovery. She then joined the group on a 5K run through the Meadows, helping connect those insights to real movement and product use. This combination of discussion and application gave attendees a clearer understanding of how the product supports performance in practice.

impact

Across both cities, the Ekin teams played a central role in delivering product education and bringing the sessions to life.

Through presentations, live demonstrations and open discussion, attendees were guided through key product features, innovation and use cases. These sessions created space for questions, deeper understanding and shared learning, supported by visual content and real examples.

By combining knowledge with inspiration, the sessions helped teams build confidence in the product and how to communicate it, reinforcing the link between technical detail and real athlete use.
