Mercurial is Nike’s fastest boot. They broke down the silo into two due to the way elite athletes are now playing. Superfly, built for pure speed, and the Vapor, built for quick cuts (think Vini Jr.). The Mercurial attitude is built around ego, competition.
The Concept
The Football EKINs wanted their debut Speed Clinic to kick off with a bang. The result was an energetic skills showdown where participants tested the new Mercurial boots: the Superfly, built for pure speed, and the Vapor, built for quick cuts (think Vini Jr.).

Held at Tottenham Hotspur's prestigious training ground, the day brought together just under 40 participants from Nike stores and partners. The EKINs immersed the group in the football world Nike is at the forefront of, while Spurs coaches supported each team through the drills.
Superfly
Pitch activity
The Superfly is made for players who live for raw speed. Guided by the coaches, participants took on two challenges: a straight-line dash against the clock, and a sprint with the ball that ended with a finish at targets worth different points. The fastest and sharpest players earned a place on the leaderboard.
Vapor
PITCH ACTIVITY
Participants rotated to the Vapor, designed for sharp changes of direction. These stations tested agility and accuracy, with players weaving around defenders and switching direction in an instant. In these boots, it looked effortless.
Mercurial EGO
Final Challenge
With the leaderboard tight at the top, a crossbar challenge settled the final four. Those four then took on a race that blended Vapor and Superfly moves, pairing the pure pace of one boot with the sharp cuts of the other. The race set up a final head-to-head challenge to reveal who had the true Mercurial ego.

The debut Speed Clinic got Nike's store and partner teams hands-on with the new Mercurial boots, and gave the Football EKINs a format they can adapt for future launches and key football moments. The feedback from the day says it all:
